Enumerations
This page lists the enums that developers most often need to look up while integrating the EPAS wrappers. It focuses on operational meaning rather than language-specific syntax.
API Result
ApiResult describes whether the wrapper was able to send, receive, and parse the request correctly.
| Value | Meaning |
|---|
OK / ok | The request was sent and the response was parsed. This does not by itself mean the payment was approved. |
ErrorInvalidParameter | A supplied argument or model value was invalid. |
ErrorConnectionFailure | The wrapper could not connect to the terminal. |
ErrorNotConnected | The operation requires an active terminal connection. |
ErrorCommunicationsFailure | The request or response exchange failed on the transport layer. |
ErrorLibraryFailure | An internal wrapper failure occurred. |
ErrorParseFailure | The terminal response could not be parsed. |
Error Conditions
.NET and Java expose ErrorConditions. The Swift wrapper exposes the corresponding ErrorCondition.
| Value | Meaning |
|---|
None / none | The request was processed successfully. |
Aborted / aborted | The request was aborted by a prior abort command. |
Busy / busy | The system is busy and cannot accept the request now. |
Cancel / cancel | The cardholder cancelled on the terminal. |
DeviceOut / deviceOut | A terminal device is out of order. |
InProgress / inProgress | A conflicting operation is still in progress. |
LoggedOut / loggedOut | The terminal is not logged in. |
MessageFormat / messageFormat | The terminal rejected the message format or a required field. |
NotAllowed / notAllowed | The requested operation is not allowed in the current context. |
NotFound / notFound | A referenced transaction or resource was not found. |
PaymentRestriction / paymentRestriction | The proposed card or payment method cannot be used for the requested payment. |
Refusal / refusal | The payment was refused by host or card rules. |
UnavailableDevice / unavailableDevice | Required hardware is unavailable. |
UnavailableService / unavailableService | The requested service is not supported or not configured. |
InvalidCard / invalidCard | The presented card cannot be processed by the terminal configuration. |
UnreachableHost / unreachableHost | The host could not be reached or did not answer in time. |
WrongPIN / wrongPIN | PIN verification failed. |
PrinterPaperOut / printerPaperOut | Printer paper is out. |
PrinterFailure / printerFailure | The terminal printer has a technical problem. |
Receipt and Card Interpretation Enums
These enums are especially important when printing receipts, storing audit data, or interpreting LastTransactionResponse.
EntryMethod
| Value | Code | Meaning |
|---|
ChipInserted / CHIP_INSERTED | C | The card was inserted into the chip reader. |
